Carolina Behavior & Beyond will work with your family and focus on your priorities and concerns. We will be able to connect you with resources in the community that can provide support for your family’s needs and assess needs of your family and your child, enabling us to provide appropriate planning for your family to meet these needs.
Service coordination also assists with the school transition process to your local school district at age 2. Transition planning helps families find other options for their child at age three, when children are no longer eligible for services through BabyNet. We will also teach you how to advocate for your child by linking you with community resources and making you aware of your rights as a parent of a child with special needs.
Children may be eligible to go to the local school district and continue to meet goals in the preschool program that they offer.
Carolina Behavior & Beyond can also assist your family with continuing services after age three through the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. If your child meets the eligibility criteria through the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, your child may be eligible for EI services until the age of five. Your Early Intervention Specialist will provide assistance for this process when that time arrives.
